Giving is the whole point of the build, so it takes money three ways — Paystack, PayPal and Flutterwave — rather than betting the foundation's income on one processor being up and one card working. Around that sit donor tracking, sponsorships, volunteer sign-up, a newsletter and a CMS the foundation runs itself.
The API and the site are separate applications that agree on a shared contract, so the public site can be redeployed without touching the machinery that handles donations.
How it is built
- Three payment processors side by side, so a failing gateway is not a failed donation.
- Donor tracking and recurring sponsorships, not just one-off payments.
- A CMS the foundation edits directly, so campaign copy does not need a developer.
- Volunteer and newsletter capture on the same contract as donations.
- API and web app deploy independently against a shared contract.
